Jill Van Horn
Jill E. Van Horn is a former family physician trained in Fort Worth, Texas, who has become a full-time writer of romance and mystery novels. She now lives in Whitsett, North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Writers’ Network. She’s self-published three novels and has had two others published with Winged Publications. She lives with her husband George and her dog Blackberry, as well as seven furry cats-two of which are unique Munchkin Persians that George affectionately calls the Harry Potter cats.
When she’s not writing, she spends her time reading, gardening, experimenting with recipes for humans who are willing to be guinea pigs, running and hiking, landscaping, and refurbishing her house.

Her aunt finds Ava the ‘perfect match’, Trent, and tries to set her up without her knowledge. After going through rejection of his own, Trent, being a physician, only has faith in medicine, not miracles. Can Ava open her heart and have faith in the magic behind the locket? Will her soulmate, with his own past coming back to stop him, discover the truth about the locket that will ‘break the spell’ and lead to a true happily ever after?

My upcoming new mystery novel will be a the first in the Cowtown Killer Mystery series about medical student sleuth, Shelby Morgenbaum. When she stumbles onto a body in the alley on the way to the cadaver lab one dark night, old demons vying for retribution over the murder of her mother rear their heads.
